Our Journey
As parents too, we understand the endless emotional challenge and monetary cost of clothing growing children. Our journey commenced in 2010 when we created Cath’s Preloved Clothing on Facebook. This gave us the platform to tackle the growing demand for more affordable and sustainably sourced clothes; not just in Ballarat, but in the broader community.
In that time, we’ve been able to help countless parents and carers across the country save time and money, by making the process of sourcing, selecting and purchasing quality children’s clothes and books, more accessible, convenient and affordable. We offer a heart-felt “Thank You” to all of our customers who have supported us.

In our grandmother’s day they had a saying: “Waste not, want not.” In our mother’s day they had a saying too: “Make do and mend.” Upon commencing high school, mum was the very grateful recipient of a hand-me-down bicycle from an older sister. For her it meant not walking the three miles to school!
We want to pass that philosophical baton to a new generation of consumers, by inviting you to take advantage of the usable-life remaining in the products we sell. By choosing to recycle and reuse, you will also benefit from the savings to be made.
Our preloved journey has given us an increased sense of what true value actually means. We want to impart that sense of value with the knowledge that by reusing preloved clothes and other essentials, you’re not settling for second best, you’re making the most of our planet’s resources by utilising what has already been manufactured.

We’re committed to ensuring that quality does not come with a high price tag. We’ve hand-picked and thoroughly inspected every product we sell. We know each one to be complete, to function as it should and to have plenty of usable-life left in it.
Each product has also been graded and priced according to its condition and size. Individually photographed too, the product you purchase will be the one you receive.

We stock large quantities of preloved products for immediate delivery!
We offer a massive range of preloved and new-unused children’s garments for all seasons, in sizes one to sixteen. Accessories include beanies, belts, hats and scarves. Activewear, dancewear and footwear is also offered. We stock your favourite licensed and surf brands such as AFL, Disney, Harry Potter, Marvel, Star Wars, Billabong, Quiksilver, Rip Curl and Roxy. Generic and Ballarat specific schoolwear is always on hand. So too is a large collection of sleepwear, swimwear, socks and underwear.
A broad selection of fiction and non-fiction books is in constant supply. These include but are not limited to: activity books, board books, early learning books, levelled readers, picture story books, junior and senior novels; also educational and reference books on just about any topic you care to imagine.
We also stock costumes, DVDs, games and toys in limited numbers. These products can sell quickly, so you’ll need to check-in regularly if you want to snap them up.
